Every good shot starts from the legs. This is something a lot of players forget, but strong legs and starting your shot with a good push from the legs will increase your shot power quite a bit. This workout mimics the skating stride and helps build a strong base, stability and balance, all of which will improve your shot.
This workout requires no equipment, start in the standing position with your feet together. extend one leg behind you at a 45 degree angle and squat with your balancing leg. Hold this position for a second and then return to the neutral position and repeat on the other side.
